Merlin (): Merlin is great. Not only a pro tool for project management on the Mac but also full collaborative way of work. You can share your projects online with other Merlin users, edit them by a supported web browser or the Merlin iPhone app. Great software!
TopXNotes (Web Ace): I just downloaded the new 1.5 version and love it. TopXNotes lets me keep all my formatted and straight text notes in one place. I used to keep TextEdit documents in my Documents folder but often had to hunt for the ones I wanted through a large folder. Since I've imported them all into TopXNotes I can instantly locate text inside any or all notes. Its numerous formatting options are always right at hand, including font, size, style, text color, emphasis color (highlighting), document color, and justification. It even checks spelling as I type. I right-clicked on the toolbar and customized it to have the functions I use most. The ability to sort by note name, category, creation date, and modified date allows me to quickly isolate the notes I want. I like the new striped background in the NoteOrganizer window. I can password protect the entire database or individual notes. Once I get a note to my liking I can write protect it.
Magic Number Machine (Unique_Identifier): I especially enjoyed the sense of humor in the support documentation, but I found that, in its current form, it doesn't serve my needs. It has all the computational capacity I require; however, I found entering data to be a bit awkward. If one is entering a fairly long equation, for example, and discovers an error has been made at the beginning, the only option seems to be deleting everything back to the error and re-entering the information after making a correction. Unfortunately I don't possess the skill set to allow me to take advantage of the author's advice and program in that feature myself, so, I'll just have to find a different calculator.
MacVector (jadv): Um this software is by no means free! It uses a lot of algorithms developed under GNU but charges a ridiculous amount for what it actually does. ($2000 per license) it basically is part of why research has become so expensive in the United States.
SpiralBound (): SpiralBound is great! I keep track of my budget, my passwords, and just everything in it! I really like the security features and being able to "put pages away" back in the notebook when I am done with them. (Stickies was a bit too disorganized for me.)
sixtyforce (): If it where free to save I would be VERY stoked about this emulator. Unfortunately it does not.... so it is an "okay" in my books. Games run just fine, it's the ROM's that mess stuff up.
